Although the Kings dramatically outshot the Canes 37-22 - including 18-6 in the third period - Carolina jumped out to a 3 goal led and held on for the win last night.
Like all west coast games, I didn't stay up to watch it but I did record it and watch Carolina's goals. Erik Cole's second goal was a beauty.
We're now 3-1-1 on the road trip with one game to play before coming home for a nice long homestand. And the Canes are still in first place!
Saturday night the Canes play at San Jose. The Sharks have been red hot since acquaring Joe Thornton from the Bruins, winning 4 straight and scoring 21 goals in those 4 games.
Methinks they're due for a loss!
