But we're 1-0 after defeating the Minnesota Wild 4-3 today, and 1-0 is better than 0-1!
I like seeing 2 goals out of Brandon Sutter, along with goals from Anton Babchuck and Joni Pitkanen.
This team is young. I checked out the roster, and let's see, Joe Corvo is 33, 4 guys are 31, one guy is 28, and everyone else is 27 or younger. Big change from last year!
Only 5 players from the 2006 Cup team, and only one player (Cole) left from the 2002 Cup run.
The Canes are going to need to get great goaltending this year to be a real competitor, but I think they'll contend for a playoff slot.
